The most I've dealt with in terms of sluggish functionality on my 3XL was when I was on the Android 12 beta, but being a Beta version, I understood what I was getting into. Oh but ALL of my pixels eventually stopped responding to my voice commands after a year. Headphone jack nonfunctional, wonky charging ports, I've RMAd 3 phones for camera malfunctions (and I buy these phones with camera as priority), etc. However I've had my fair share of other weird problems with these phones. Batteries were always good to me, never worried about blue shift, weird antenna issues, memory leaks basically weren't a thing for me either. Honestly, I e never ever run into any of the staple problems that came with these phones. I've owned a handful of pixels over the years but I'm on my second 3XL. Or i can exit out of Pokemon GO to respond to an email where i need to attach a document then jump back into the game without it needing to restart itself. I can get into my car after work and continue playing a song on Spotify where i left off when i got out of the car in the morning. I had just gotten used to it in the 3 years i had it.įinally retiring that workhorse and moving onto the 6 Pro felt more of a jump than I was expecting performance wise. The phone itself was a good performer so while apps restarting was annoying, it never took long for apps to restart and get back to where I was. I definitely experienced these and it was definitely annoying those first few months. Then reviews came out of apps being closed in the background after just switching to another app. I did not realize how accustomed I had gotten to the low amount of RAM in the 3XL.Īt launch of the 3XL there were a lot of complaints that 4gb of RAM was not enough for a Flagship phone.
